hilo...I;m being wondering why our vocal is so different between recording studio and ktv. I heard that the vocal recorded in the studio is the more accurrate one..Is it really true? cause i have being through some audition and my voice is totally different from what i have heard from ktv. My buddy always said that i sound good in ktv but whenever i'm in audition -_-'' things is different.. I think is the matter of how we control our voice...

In KTV or LIVE Singing, you encounter the following:
1. Don't get to hear you own voice so clearly (Unless there is a BIG BIG monitor)
2. Speakers are far away... so ppl wont notice minute mistakes
3. Hand held dynamic mics are less sensitive
In Studio:
1.We use condenser Mic.... Can even record the fabric of your clothes!!!
2. We use near field (or near-to-ear) studio monitors... the sound of your saliva can sound like a mini-river flowing...
3. You get to hear your own voice thru the headphones you put on....
4. Consolation is.... when you make mistake... we can always redo... unlike live.....

I agree tat singing in KTV and in recording studio is quite different. I personally feel tat it is more stressful to sing in recording studio because singing in KTV is just for personal enjoyment while singing in studio is for demo purposes and faultless singing..
