With Mayday going very ballards style, beyond spitting up, Wubai not having any albums at all, Shin putting out a best compilation after just 3 albums, 6 Jia quite down too, and there's no one liao...
will there be another rock band with something to say to sing, to rock about?

I don't know about the general populace but me and my friends feel that English rock - ie Linkin Park, Maroon 5, Three Doors Down, Aerosmith and so on - pack more punch than the Chinese ones. Case in point: besides A-shin from Shin, who else has the kind of raw, powerful vocals that characterises English rock?
However, I still believe there is a future for Chinese rock. Jay Chou's version of R&B isn't true R&B; it's a modified one. Who knows, even as we speak some musician may be creating a brand of Chinese rock, based on (and yet distinctly different from) English rock.

To Ernest: Raise both hands and agree! I love rock and I'd love to have a chance to perform Chinese rock someday (although my guitar skills are still quite lousy ). (With tongue firmly in cheek ) How about a "Tiny Box Rocks" band comprising our own beloved Tiny Box Management? Managing Director Kenn Wu (Keyboardist & 2nd vocals) Executive Director/ Academy Director Fang Fang (lead vocals) General Manager Ernest Chua (lead guitarist) Creative/ Publishing Manager Eric Lee (2nd guitarist) With such a stellar cast it'll be great!
