wel, @ the very least i beg to be differ , i believe that there are singaporeans that do write lyrics for song and it is really sad to know the reality that the chinese standard among singaporean is that low that the government has to take such a measure to improve on the situation ... but then like wise majority may not be good but there is always a minority, minority can't change the majority but then minority @ least contribute. let's just hope that situation will improve although competitions will be strong but that's the fun part isn't it ?

well, i do not mean to say singaporeans as a whole can't write lyrics. we have many good lyricist here in singapore. What I am saying is, those who aspire to make their mark in the chinese music industry jolly well mind their chinese standard; you have to at the very least be able to pronounce correctly, (sad to say, many singaporeans can't!). Grasp your language as well as your performing and musical capabilities. We have encouraging examples, Tanya Chua is one who comes from English-speaking background, who now can pen her own lyrics.... The competition is stiff. Beauty alone won't bring you anywhere...

i know who ... stella wahahahaa .... hmm ... actually i just see the taiwan GMA ceremony hmm ... find that now being a singer is not that very easy ... because u must beable to sing as well as writing and composing song ... hmm ...

hmm ... i think if really want to become a singer i think maybe go taiwan singing competition maybe will help a bit ... haa haa ... just post wat on my mind it may not be realistic ....

because s'pore seldom have major singing competition which offer u contract as a singer .... see the s'pore idol just started onli .... and it was in english .... if it was in chinese i think there will be much more ppl joinning ...

hey it's huang yida... he's quite talented and his music is quite unique in a way... although his voice is not really outstanding... but he can compose ... so not too bad... and he's doing quite well in taiwan ... coming back to sg soon! ;D
